If you want to transfer a domain name from one company to another, you will need a special authorization code, which may be called by various names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain name password, etc. All these names refer to the same thing – a code that the domain name registrant gets from the present domain registrar and gives to the new one at the time of the order. Without a valid code, a domain transfer process cannot be initiated and this is one of the safety measures against unwanted transfers used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For even greater security, the code includes numbers and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domain names, you have to provide the new domain registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Website Hosting

You can obtain the EPP transfer authentication code for any domain that you have registered through us with just a few clicks of the mouse from the exact same Hepsia Control Panel that you will use to administer your website hosting account. Once you visit the Registered Domains section, you will see all your domain names conveniently shown in alphabetical order. In case a certain extension supports transfers between domain name registrars with an EPP transfer code, you’ll notice an EPP button to the right of the respective domain name. If you click on that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the domain in question. If needed, you can update the contact details, including the email address, without needing to leave this section of the Control Panel, in case the current email isn’t valid anymore.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

You can swiftly obtain the transfer code for any domain name registered under a semi-dedicated server account if you decide to transfer it away. This can be achieved through the very same Control Panel, via which you manage your account, so you will not have to switch between different systems. All you will need to do is visit the Control Panel’s domain management section and click on the EPP button associated with the domain name that you want to transfer, as long as its extension supports transfers with a code. Our system sends all codes automatically to the domain owner’s email listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record, so in case the email that is currently listed is out of date, you can change it with a few mouse clicks without needing to leave the domain management section of the Control Panel.
